OPPOSITE WORLDS – When “social” meets passion

Since some day me and my friend Niels Borgogni decide to forward our professional photo work revenues to volounteer projects we both joined. Opposite Worlds is a project which would like to reduce the distance among Developing Countries and Industrialized Countries. 10 issues know to the World: 10 issues to solve out. 10 challenges where Onlus are cooperating around the Globe.

OPPOSITE WORLDS – Running Projects

ISTRUCTION & LEARNING inside Developing Countries (Project “Trucks” – A bus truck for the Silo school)

From one year children who attend the nursery school in humanist Kalaban Coura, a suburb of Bamako, go away twice a week to go to the space game in the Library “Espoir pour tous”.

Project OPPOSITE WORLDS

Waiting for a teacher specifically trained to teach and learn through playing, exercises, psychomotricity, graphic and pictorial activities, development programs manipulative skills, everything that the classical teaching based mainly on learning mnemonic can not give because of poor preparation of teachers and the lack of resources and adequate facilities.

The route is not very long, about a mile and a half, but dangerous: there is a big wide road to cross, one that leads to the airport in Bamako, always bustling.
To allow children and their teacher to arrive safely at their destination, and employing less precious time of the lessons, from January and came into operation a shuttle particular: the Listening Center OASIS provides its own bus, normally used for the census of street children during the night. The project plans to cover the cost of fuel as well as a financial contribution to the maintenance of the vehicle.

Project “Trucks” can be summarized in the following points:

1) Analysis of the situation and the transport facilities – DONE!

2) Project definitiion of construction technically and economically point of view – DONE!

3) Funds retrieve – IN PROGRESS…

4) Project execution of the selected agency – IN PROGRESS…
